Leadership BiographiesDavid Long was born on 13 February 1961 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and grew up in Greendale, Wisconsin. Two months before his conversion a young man named Dennis share with David that he just needed to “come to Jesus”. David did everything he could to run from God, but on 12 April 1980 at 2 am in the morning David asked Jesus Christ into his life. Warren was saved in the summer of 1980 as a student at what is now Georgia Southern University and experienced God’s calling into the ministry a year later in 1981. He began his official ministry by serving on the music staff at First Baptist Church in Statesboro, Georgia as an intern under the mentoring of Dr. Warren C. Fields. Since then, Warren has served on staff as full-time youth minister, full-time music minister, and a full-time combination of Music and Youth Minister at churches in Guyton, Pooler, Albany, Statesboro, Marietta, Griffin, and now in Perry where he also volunteers as the chaplain for the Perry High School Band Programs.
